International Courier Shipping
Our standard shipping method is EMS. EMS shipments include free insurance coverage for item damage or loss up to ¥20,000. This insurance compensates the actual value of the loss or damage, up to that amount, in the event your package is lost or damaged during transit.

Taxes & Import Processing Fees
Private shipping carriers (such as DHL, FedEx, and UPS) typically charge an additional fee for handling the payment of taxes, duties, tariffs, and related import charges.
United States: According to current U.S. Customs regulations, a 10% import duty applies to goods from Japan exceeding $800 per person per day (this includes all cross-border purchases). Please refer to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website for the most up-to-date details.
Europe, Canada, and other regions: VAT, GST, or other sales/import taxes may be required depending on your country. To facilitate faster customs clearance, carriers often pay these taxes on your behalf and then collect the cost locally, along with an additional "Advance Payment Fee." This fee varies by country — commonly between 10 to 20 EUR, though it may also be calculated as a percentage of the total.
Spain, Portugal, and Greece: Customs handling charges are known to be particularly high. In Spain, for example, some customers have successfully reduced fees by completing customs procedures themselves. Please proceed at your own discretion if you wish to do the same.
Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) / Delivered Taxes Paid:
This service allows the seller to collect duties and taxes upfront so that the customer does not need to interact with customs. However, in our experience, paying these fees locally often results in lower total costs for the customer.
As such, NAGOMI currently does not offer the DDP service. If import taxes or VAT are required, they will need to be paid by the customer upon delivery.
